Easter: A Beginning, Not an Ending

Over the past several weeks, our parish has entered into Lent with a renewed sense of purpose. Through our Return series, times of prayer, and intentional reflection, we have been focusing not only on our own relationship with God, but also on those in our lives who may have drifted away from the practice of their faith.

Tenebrae – Service of Light

Later that evening, the Church gathers once more in a powerful and ancient prayer known as Tenebrae.

At 8:00pm on Good Friday at the Lourdes campus, we enter into a liturgy marked by shadow, silence, and light gradually fading into darkness.

Candles are extinguished one by one. The church grows dim. We feel the weight of the tomb.

This is a rare and moving experience one that allows us to enter more deeply into the sorrow of the day, and the stillness that follows Christ’s death.

And yet, even in the darkness, there is a quiet sense that the story is not over.

Come and experience this sacred moment. Let the silence speak.

Pontifical Good Friday Collection

Pope Francis has asked our parish to support the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, which helps Christians in the Holy Land where they are now less than 2% of the population. Your support is essential to help the Church minister in parishes, provide Catholic schools and offer religious education.

The Pontifical Good Friday Collection also helps to preserve the sacred shrines of Christianity, including in Jerusalem, Nazareth and Bethlehem to name only a few. When you contribute to the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, you join with Catholics around the work in solidarity with the Church in the Holy Land.

Thank you for your generosity.

The Peter J. Curley Memorial - Easter Egg Hunt

Even in the midst of the solemn beauty of Holy Week, there is room for joy especially for our children.

On Holy Saturday, April 4th at 12:00pm at the Seton Center, all families are invited to gather for the Peter J. Curley Memorial Easter Egg Hunt, generously sponsored by our parish Men’s Club.

This event is more than just an egg hunt. It is a moment of community. A moment of laughter. A moment where the joy of Easter begins to break through especially in the hearts of our youngest parishioners.

As children run and search and celebrate, we are reminded that Easter is not only proclaimed it is experienced.

This joyful tradition, offered in memory of Peter J. Curley, continues to bring families together and strengthens the bonds of our parish community.

All are welcome. Bring your children. Invite a friend.

And come experience the joy that always accompanies the promise of new life.

This Easter, Take the Next Step

At Mary, Mother of Our Savior, we believe faith is not meant to be lived alone. It is meant to be lived in relationship—with Jesus Christ and with a community that walks with you.

If you came this Easter... If you’ve been coming quietly... If something stirred in your heart during Lent...
