Welcome Pope Leo XIV!

Dear St. John Neumann Parish Family,

With hearts full of joy and gratitude, we join the universal Church in celebrating a truly historic moment: the election of Cardinal Robert Prevost as our new Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV the first American pope in the history of the Church!

In his first words as pontiff, Pope Leo XIV shared a powerful vision for the Church: “We have to look together how to be a missionary Church, building bridges, dialogue, always open to receiving with open arms for everyone, like this square, open to all.”

Let his words inspire us to echo this mission in our own parish to be a missionary people, dedicated to overcrowding heaven with souls by living and proclaiming the joy of the Gospel through prayer, teamwork, and discipleship.

This is more than a celebration; it’s a call to mission. Let us renew our commitment to prayer, teamwork, and discipleship as families, ministries, and one united parish walking in step with the universal Church and our new Holy Father.

Please pray with us as we entrust Pope Leo XIV’s leadership to the guidance of the Holy Spirit:
Lord Jesus, Good Shepherd,
Guide Pope Leo XIV with wisdom, courage, and love.
May the Holy Spirit strengthen him as he leads your Church in mission.
And may we, as a parish family, respond boldly to your call— to live for you, love like you, and overcrowd heaven with joyful, faithful hearts.
Amen.

Let’s move forward together in faith, hope, and love.

St. John Neumann Catholic Parish
