Thank You Andres

Dear parish family,

After spending the past year with us here at St. John Neumann Parish, Andres has now concluded his time of pastoral ministry and formation within our parish community as he returns to seminary to continue his preparation for Holy Orders.

Although Andres is not someone who seeks recognition or praise, it is only fitting that we express our sincere gratitude for the generous and faithful service he has offered throughout this past year. So much of ministry often takes place quietly and behind the scenes, and Andres has given of himself in countless ways for the good of our parish family.

Many of you have come to know him through his reverent service at the altar during the celebration of the Holy Mass. Yet his ministry among us extended far beyond what was publicly seen. Andres assisted in leading workshops and formation opportunities for our Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and Lectors, coordinated important Virtus compliance efforts, and helped provide formation for both our school and CCD students. He has accompanied individuals through moments of counseling and spiritual guidance, assisted with marriage preparation meetings and sacramental documentation, and served wherever there was a need within parish life.

In a particular way, his presence among our young adults has been a tremendous blessing. Through his leadership, witness, and generosity, he helped foster a vibrant and faith-filled community of young men and women seeking to live their Catholic faith with greater conviction, joy, and zeal.

All of this is a reflection of a man sincerely striving to live out his vocation with love and fidelity to Jesus Christ and His Church.

While we will certainly miss Andres' presence among us, we rejoice in knowing that he now continues his seminary formation as he prepares, God willing, for future ordination to the Diaconate and eventually to the Holy Priesthood. I ask all of you to continue praying for him in a special way during this important time of formation and discernment.

May the Lord continue the good work He has begun in him, and may God be glorified in allthings.

With gratitude and prayers,
Fr. Jose Alfaro
Pastor

New Tabernacle Coming Soon!

The Ark of the Covenant

The taberpacle is the place where the Lord remains with us in the Eucharist, His true, real, and abiding presence. Our new tabernacle will draw its inspiration from the Ark of the Covenant in the Old Testament, which held the presence of God among, His people. Just as the Ark was placed within the meeting tent, where God would dwell among Israel, so too our church is designed to echo that same reality. The ceiling evokes the tent desçribed in the Book of Exodus, reminding us that God desires to dwell in the midst of His people. In the Eucharist, this is fulfilled in a profounp way: God is not only near, but truly present among us.
