Dear OLOL Parents,
What an incredible week we've had here at Jaguar Nation! Spring is in full swing, and our Jaguars continue to inspire us with their creativity, compassion, and commitment to excellence. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights:
NJHS Car Wash – Clean Cars for a Cause
This past Sunday, our NJHS rolled up their sleeves and put on a community car wash that did more than just leave cars sparkling—it warmed hearts, too. The event raised funds for the Family Fund Foundation, which provides support to families facing serious medical and/or financial needs. It was truly touching to see our students rally behind such an important cause. Their energy, teamwork, and generous spirit made the day a huge success. Thank you to everyone who came out to support!
Sundae of Champions – Celebrating Academic Excellence
We also celebrated our academic standouts this week with the ever-popular Sundae of Champions! Students who made the Principal’s Honor Roll for the third quarter were treated to a well-deserved ice cream celebration, complete with all the toppings they could dream of. It’s always such a joy to recognize the hard work, determination, and focus these students put into their studies. Congratulations again to each of our honorees—you make us proud!
Drama Club Presents Aladdin Jr. – A Show to Remember
If you joined us on Thursday for the performance of Aladdin Jr., you know just how magical it was. From the opening note to the final bow, our students completely captivated the audience. The sets were vibrant, the costumes dazzling, and the performances heartfelt. The cast and crew transported us all to Agrabah with their talent and enthusiasm, and there wasn’t a dry eye—or an unsmiling face—in the house. A huge thank you to Mrs. Acosta and her amazing team for bringing this production to life in such a spectacular way. We’re already looking forward to the next show!
Preparing for Palm Sunday – A Season of Reflection
As Palm Sunday approaches, our school community is entering a time of reflection and spiritual preparation, Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and the beginning of Holy Week. It’s a time to reflect on themes of humility, sacrifice, and hope, and we’ve seen those values echoed throughout the week in the actions of our students. I encourage you to continue those conversations at home as we prepare our hearts for Easter.
Thank you for your continued support, trust, and partnership. These moments of service, celebration, and spiritual growth wouldn’t be possible without the strong and caring community we have here at OLOL.
Wishing you all a peaceful weekend and a blessed Palm Sunday.
God is good…#jaguarangels
